The Friends Provident Foundation is looking for a dynamic member of staff to become our first Communications Manager. This key role will develop and lead implementation of the Foundation’s communications strategy to raise the Foundation’s profile – and that of the organisations it supports.
You will need to have demonstrable experience in a broad range of external relations activity including events, press releases, media handling. You need to be creative and have experience of social media coordination, creating organisational strategies and have a real commitment to addressing fundamental social issues. Experience and understanding of the charity sector is essential. Knowledge and understanding of ethical issues and financial services would be an advantage. Balancing the ability to work independently with effective team work will be vital.
The post can be based in either York or London but the post holder would be expected to travel within the UK from time to time.
The post is for 3 days per week or term time only; other flexible working arrangements can be discussed.
