Equity and Social Justice

At the Friends Provident Foundation, we are dedicated to addressing social injustices and inequity in the economic system. We cannot create a new fairer system without addressing issues such as institutional racism, ableism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, social mobility, and patriarchal mindsets. We recognise that we have power and can use our power to influence and change attitudes. Therefore, we are on a journey of discovery and learning. We are exploring ideas where we can implement solutions to equity and social justice issues throughout our activities.

LGBTQ+ Pride Month

This month is pride month, and it is an important time to reflect, renew and revitalise the movement for LGBTQ+ equality. Our Communications Manager Jake speaks about their experiences as an LGBTQ+ person in the sector.

Where is the ‘S’ of ESG and what is needed?

Most ESG funds tend to invest in sectors like tech, media, consumer, utilities, manufacturing, and retail. Many of the companies are high risk from a social perspective
