In recruiting to these positions, we particularly sought perspectives that might challenge orthodox views and we welcomed diversity of perspective, background, physical abilities, ethnicities and class background and all age groups and all nations in the UK in the range of applications that we received. Competition for the roles was keen – in excess of one hundred applications – and we were tremendously impressed by the range and calibre of responses, all of which were closely scrutinised and shortlisted before making the final appointments.
Four new Trustees join the Foundation’s Board
We are pleased to announce the appointment of four new Trustees to our Board - Abraham Baldry, Ann Don Bosco, Priya Lukka and Stephanie Maier – who will serve for an initial term of three years.
I am delighted that Abraham Baldry, Ann Don Bosco, Priya Lukka and Stephanie Maier will be joining the Friends Provident Foundation Board and helping us to achieve our aim to create a fair economy. Given the current economic and social situation resulting from the global pandemic, our work has never been so important.
Abraham, Ann, Priya and Stephanie join the Foundation at this pivotal time to help guide our programmes of giving and investment. Going forward, they will work closely with the Board of Trustees and the Foundation’s staff to help achieve our objective of building a fair and sustainable economy in the UK.
